Early beginnings

Gero, Evaul & McCloskey started off in 2008 as a family owned and operated partnership of professional associations committed to giving clients the personalized attention they deserve.

In 2010 the two original partners, Jackie and Scott, collaborated with Edward F. McCloskey. Edward is in charge of the firms audit and assurance practice and this collaboration made Gero, Evaul & McCloskey a full service accounting firm. Jackie and Scott still lead the firm’s taxation and compliance practice and both have expert knowledge in the areas of individual, estate, trust, business entity and international inbound tax planning for high net worth international clients. Though the partnership is still relatively new to South Florida, the partners of the firm have extensive ties to the local business community.

Jackie Gero, CPA has more than thirty years of public accounting experience and is considered one of the top tax practitioners in South Florida. Jackie is the Co-Founding Partner of Gero, Evaul & McCloskey. Scott Evaul, CPA, CGMA has over thirteen years of public accounting experience and his primary focus of practice relates to business tax, real estate entity selection and taxation, consulting for various business industries, and a wide arrange of compliance issues as well as those issues and how they relate to high net worth individual clients. Scott is the Managing and Co-Founding Partner of the firm. Edward F. McCloskey is a CPA licensed in both the states of Florida and New York. Edward has over twenty years of public accounting experience and joins the firm as the Auditing Partner in charge of the firm’s Attest and Quality Control Department.
